The Energy Transition - October Edition


As part of our academy program, we organize the Energy Game event on 3 October.

During this event, Pier Vellinga (scientist in the field of climate change at Wageningen University) and Ruud Koornstra (National Energy Commissioner) elaborate on the latest developments in the area of climate change. After lunch we launch our brandnew Serious Game 'Conquest of Paradise'. In this Game you will experience the impact of the food-, construction-, financial-, energy- and public sectors on climate change while delivering the following:

  • Exploring the behaviors, strategic decision-making and business models required for the energy transition;
  • Building stakeholder empathy, via experiencing firsthand the perspectives, challenges, priorities and unique needs of diverse stakeholders in different parts of the energy system;
  • Sense making the energy system, where participants grow their full system awareness while deepening understanding of how the system works and their role within it;
  • Exploring the leadership quilities required during transition, at both an organizational and personal level.

09.00 – 09.30: Walk-in
09.30 – 10.30: Welcome by Ruud Koornstra
10.30 - 11.30: Facts and fables of Climate Change by Pier Vellinga
11.30 - 12.15: Lunch
12.15 – 17.30: Serious game: Newtonian Shift 2.0
17.30 – 18.30: Drinks

Costs:
For the partners of Techruption and for start-ups, participation in this event is free.
For corporates that are not affiliated with Techruption, the participation costs are € 400 per person.
For knowledge institutions and public organizations that are not affiliated with Techruption, the participations costs are € 200 per person.
